The aims of CEMOC include

• systematic research, study, documentation and analysis of East Mediterranean Oral Cultures.

• establishment of scientific, cultural and artistic cooperation networks in the East Mediterranean; cooperation with Greek, European and international institutions working on the East Mediterranean.

• collection of primary and secondary sources and records in digital or other forms; documentation, and analysis of their content.

• undertaking full or partial research programs and studies.

• publication of original research (articles, books); dissemination to academic and larger publics - organization of conferences, seminars, workshops, events etc.

• production or co-production of, or participation in, the creation artistic material - organization of concerts and performances.

• cooperation with specialists and artists for the undertaking of works that promote CEMOC’s research and cultural goals.
